Three things I learned as a Millennial Entrepreneur

I recently wrote a guest blog on being a Millennial Entrepreneur. Here is a super short version. I am not going to lie or try and hide it. These posts are really about me desperately scratching my websites SEO from below the newb levels where the bots play

If you do not know what a millennial is take a quick peak “also known as Generation Y…the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years” Wikipedia

So here are the three things that I know to be true as a Millennial working today as an Entrepreneur. In reverse order…
  • Triple your Budgets
We could go on and on about this one. The simple fact is people do not want things to cost very much. Especially when we are young a few hundred dollars seems like so much. In the end, it hurts the business. We try to save 100$ bucks a month on office supplies by getting them ourselves. It only costs us a day or two every month. These exchanges make sense because we use to have so much time and no money. As an Entrepreneur, you still probably have no money. But you have even less time. Stop wasting time and pay for whatever you need so you can get your business going and your job done.
  • Collect all the Data
We are in the age of information people! Especially as a Millennial Entrepreneur, there is absolutely no reason to not collect every scrap of data you can. This data can be invaluable later when you bring in new experts to help you. This will save them time and your money. Having this data will also lead to better/more sales. Take the 10 minutes to learn how to set this up. Better yet use the next tip on Outsourcing to pay 20 bucks to have someone set them all up for you. It will be done properly the first time. I’ll never forget how excited one of my clients was when he told me that he had everything I needed. Only to find out that he installed the script wrong and all the data he collected was pretty much worthless.
  • Outsource
Outsourcing is a big topic for Millennial Entrepreneurs. Something I look forward to getting into deeper at some point. However, it can be said quickly that this is something everyone should be doing. I offer custom solutions to help people with what they need. If you want to go the simple just get it done method I would recommend checking out my friend’s service when you can. He started a wonderful business found at They also accept Bitcoin!
